Steiff Teddy Bear

This is a darling Steiff Teddy Bear. He is a cute chunky bear!

This is a beautifully crafted and faithful replica of an original model made in 1904 by the firm of Margarete Steiff GmbH of West Germany. The original Steiff that served as a prototype for this reproduct is at the Margaret Woodbury Strong Museum in Rochester, New York. A portion of the sale of this bear was donated to the museum.

Teddy is fully jointed, made of geniune mohair, has shoe button eyes, felt pads, and embroidered claws.

He is in mint condition and has his ear steiff tag, and two wrist tags.

I don't know his date.

He is a stocky 16 inches, and sooooooooo cute!
