Perfect Stocking Stuffer!!

Gorgeous antique art deco satin glass piece!! I got this one at an estate sale in Palm Beach on the island when we were living in Florida. It's a delightful example of the art deco era vanity accessories, with that stunning black arty flower on the lid. The lid is either plastic (but it doesn't feel like plastic) or celluloid. since i don't know much about celluloid, let's just say for safety's sake that it's plastic. It has faux mother of pearl covering the entire upper surface of the lid ... and it is a strange burnt orange/deep salmon (?) color underneath ... please see pics.

The actual jar is a tripod, with three flaring legs with typical ridged/raised art deco lines running down the length of each leg. There is a similarly raised design on the area of the jar between each leg.

At its widest, the lid measures 4.75 inches. The jar measures 3.75 inches in diameter and it stands 2.75 inches high. There is no manufacturer's mark, so i am unable to identify the maker.

Both pieces are in wonderful condition and would make a delightful addition to any satin glass collection or deco period vanity decor. Please give all the photos time to load ...
