This is a 1st issue ALLAN doll from 1964. This hansome fella' comes complete in his 1st issue box. He comes in his original beach jacket, trunks, sandals and stand. Box is in lovely shape...no tears, rips, etc.. All in all...a beautiful specimen of Midge's fella' and Ken's best bud. (And let's face it...he's way cuter than Ken. What was Barbie thinking?) Provenance: ALL of the Barbie items up for auction in the next few weeks are from the private collection of preeminate Barbie collector and famed illustrator, David Gaines, whose Barbie art has been published on covers, interior illustrations and feature stories in Barbie Bazaar, Miller's Guide and the hardcover book, "Barbie In Japan". In most cases, I am the 2nd owner of the Barbie pieces up for auction. Almost all of the collection which will be up for bid in the weeks and months to come was purchased by me from the original owners.
