WATER FLOWERS

One of my favorite paintings of the modern period is Monet's immortal "Water Lilies" series. Looking at them will draw you into an enchanted water world of shimmering aquamarine, soft greens and blues, with touches of rose and lavender. It always gives me the impression that something quite magical is going on beneath the calm surface of the water lilies drifting on the pond......

I've crafted these lovely new earrings to remember that unforgettable image, accented with gems and colors associated with water and seen in Monet's series of Water Lilies paintings.

This is a cascade of soft Post-Impressionist pastels: the chandelier pendant is a bar of stylized flowers in sterling silver. They feature 10mm. faceted briolettes of Peruvian water-blue chalcedony, very graceful and delicate. They are complemented by 4mm. faceted rondelles of deep blue iolite (also known as the 'water sapphire.'). All are worked on sterling wire and hang from extra-long sterling French wires. They measure 1.75" not including the wires and include rubber stoppers for security.

These are a particularly flattering style, swaying seductively and giving a slimming appearance to the face. Deliciously feminine and romantic, these are sure to be treasured by any woman drawn to the enchantment of water.

You can pay similar prices for attempted copies of my Water Lilies, Sea Goddess and Atlantis lines, in heavy glass that can damage the delicate tissue of your earlobes. These are whispery-light, genuine artisan earrings - and have the beauty and enduring value of genuine precious gems.

This EBay price is what I would charge one of my high-end New York and East Coast store accounts, which would retail them for about $80.

No additional shipping charge for a second item to be shipped in the same package. If you live in a country where U.S. Global Priority mail is not an option, your package will be sent by U.S. First Class Air Mail.
